catherine garbi worked with award winning practices allies and morrison and davy smith architects prior to leaving london in 2007 to set up garbi matcham architects. born in paris, catherine undertook her studies in architecture at the ecole speciale d'architecture graduating in 1990 and then working in a number of studios in paris.
in 1995 she began working with sncf architecture, and relocated to london in 1996 for the channel tunnel rail link eurostar project, working alongside foster and partners and arup, on new ctrl stations for ebbsfleet and stratford.
in 1997, working with allies and morrison architects she was involved with the
royal festival hall, holden house and
'the place' projects. following this, working with davy smith architects, she was involved with
kings wharf,
wenlock works and was project architect for
swallow place, a private development of 6 houses.
catherine is a director of garbimatcham architects.
